  I've been trying to fine carpenter pants that are not super baggy on me and I finally found them. They seem pretty true to size. I love carhartt and really wanted to love there pants, but man, they are so damn baggy. I could probably fit both my legs in 1 (I'm thinner, but not skin and bones). Working around moving machines, baggy is not safe. Dickies fit me great. Very comfortable and flexable. Not super tight, they fit like pants should. The picture is comparing the same size pant leg for Dickies and Carhartt. This was the reason I've always shied away from carpenter pants. Hopefully the Dickies will hold up in a shop environment.Update: I’ve been wearing these for a few months now. They are holding up great. I have good movement in them. My biggest complaint is the stupid belt loops in the front. Just like everyone else complains, it’s just absolutely ridiculous. No clue why you would put them so far apart. Other then that I still like them. Pockets are different then other pants. They are very comfortable to put your hands in your pockets but they are not the best and holding things in them. Coins often fall out when sitting.DICKIES: PLEASE FIX YOUR FRONT BELT LOOP POSITION!!!!!

  These are my favorite most comfortable work pants around the house and farm and I own or have owned probably 10-12 pairs. The one issue I have is they wear out fairly quickly. I have holes form and/or tears in virtually every pair within a year or two. If you don’t do a lot of physical labor they work fine and last longer.

  Was excited to try these as they are one of the only work pants out there that is available in a regular/non-baggy fit. These are very comfortable and the fit is true to size. As someone who works outside in brush I appreciate that the legs aren't baggy as the slimmer fit means they are much less likely to get caught on or snagged by brush. The addition of lycra to the fabric adds some stretch and improves comfort and mobility. 2 years into owning them unfortunately they have not held up as well as comparable straight cotton pants. The fabric itself has held up decently well in most areas and I haven't worn through the knees yet which is what normally happens in straight cotton Dickies. Unfortunately the crotch area is poorly designed and has abraded despite this area not coming in contact with anything particularly sharp or abrasive. This appears to be due to the design of the pants themselves and not necessarily the fabric as other areas where I routinely encounter briar thorns with the fabric have actually held up pretty well. A diamond or gusseted crotch would likely eliminate this issue.

  These pants fit very well and seem to be good quality so far. The side pockets fits a cell phone unlike some other brands.

  my husband works in construction and this is his go-to pants they are cheap enough where he wont care if something happens to them and are durable enough where it last just as long as more expensive brands
