I like Wrangler Ranger workwear, but wish that line was made out of other than ripstop. The stuff these shorts are made of is a different fabric and are much more comfortable. I just purchased them, so I don’t know about longevity, but they are an improvement over the ripstop for comfort. All of the pockets are deep and quite similar to the ripstop Ranger construction details. The leg diameter is, perhaps, somewhat less than the ripstop model. If these hold up pretty well, I would definitely buy them again.
These are the perfect blend of flexibility and sturdiness. I wear them every weekend to work around the house. I get into some larger scale remodels so I've hard on clothes. Most times they are either too stiff or too stretchy. These are perfect. The fir me really well also. I purchased two pairs .
A bit snug, overall a sturdy pair of pants.
More comfortable than the Rip Stop shorts. Probably not as tough. Lighter and cooler. I ordered more
Always wear Riggs pants, and love the shorts. Fit the same and feel great.
This review is for the Wrangler Riggs Workwear Men's Relaxed Stretch Ranger Short. I am very impressed with these Wrangler shorts. Most of the shorts I typically wear like these are made from material that is light-weight and thinner. These shorts are are more rugged, and while they look great and can be worn as part of a casual outfit, you can tell these are made for real work. The material is soft, but with a thickness and weave that makes them more durable than other shorts. It has several pockets, reinforced seams at all the major stress points, including additional layers at key rub points to keep the material from fraying. From a fit perspective, they run true-to-size. I have an athletic build, and these shorts left me with plenty of room without binding anywhere, which is what you want in a pair of work shorts. The small amount of spandex also gives them just a bit of comfort stretch as well.If you are looking for a rugged pair of work pants that mean business, but can use something shorter to stay cooler in the Summer, then these shorts are an awesome choice. Plus they also look great with casual shirts as well.
My husband is 6’, 150LBS, slim/fit – he wears 32 Waist, 34 Leg. These shorts in 32 fit him comfortably loose but loose enough to pull off without unbuttoning/unzipping. He doesn’t mind this because they don’t fall off ;) & they allow movement & are comfortable. The fabric is stretchy & they have lots of pockets which he really likes. Also, there are reinforced areas on the back pockets & one front pocket. They go thru the wash fine – warm water, medium drier. They did not seem to shrink.
I purchase 5 pair of these in a larger size every year to wear to work. I recently purchased one pair in a smaller size that is my actual size, to wear around. So because I know what brand-new shorts look, feel and smell like, I immediately noticed that while these shorts came in a new like packaging, they had been worn, washed and likely put in a dryer. The shorts had no formaldehyde odor and were soft instead of stiff and had wrinkles and wear impressions on the buttons like a one time ironing would make. Also all the loose threads were cleaned off and the pockets were not buttoned down like has always been the case on every new pair of shorts I've purchased over the years. So, apparently, I got a returned pair of shorts at new shorts price....
The size keeps changing every time I order it.
Good quality shorts. Had to hem about three inches of the legs. They were great after I hemed them.
