  I have had these for awhile. Absolutely my favorite shorts. The expandable waistband with all the belt loops allow you to deal with weight gains and losses on a weekly basis. The cargo pockets are great. I also got the CQR tactical parachute pants that are just like these . The loops for ataching key fobs help with not having to use your pockets for the keys.

  Man I LOVE these shorts. Ripstop fabrics are some of my favorite fabrics, especially for the summer as where I live it easily reaches the high 90's and low 100's with 80%+ humidity. It can feel like stepping into a steam room and without the right fabrics it can be quite uncomfortable. These shorts are lightweight and roomy enough that in hit weather you'll still be quite comfortable. I own several pairs of the shorts as well I have had some of their pants for years. They fit well and sizing seems to run pretty much right on. They have fairly wide belt loops, they measure about 2.25" and easily fit my 2" belts. In addition the first belt loop on each side have a small "D ring" that let you clip a keychain or other device.They have plenty of pockets on the shorts including 2 small slash pockets if like myself you carry a small flashlight and/or a folder but prefer them not be in your front pocket. The fly is a zipper and on the interior has a single button closure to keep things where they belong and out of the zipper. The rear and cargo pocket flaps have Velcro closures. While the cargo has 2 pieces, the rear flaps have only 1 as well are stitched down one side of the flap which means it doesn't become crumpled in the wash. The front pockets are quite deep. I am easily able to fit my cell phone in the pocket without it sliding back out when sitting down.Hands down these are very comfortable shorts and will stand up to rigorous activity without issue. From just casual wear to a heavy day at the range or doing yard work these shorts will hold up.

  I have several pair of CQR tactical pants and I really like them so I bought the shorts to wear on hot days. They’re super comfortable and fit well. The Velcro and zipper are quality and you can’t beat the price for a product this well made. I bought another brand and they didn’t last a month. I highly recommend CQR products

  I've got several pairs of long pants from this manufacturer and they are my go-to favorite on hikes or casual. I was hoping the shorts would be just as good and if so, would order several pairs and replace all my existing shorts. What a disappointment! I wear a 38 x 30 in the pants and they are a perfect fit, so I ordered a 38 waist in the shorts. They are way too big. I could easily wear a size 36, but it isn't just the waist that's too big, it's the length of the shorts and I doubt it would change in a 36". I like my shorts to hit in the middle of my knee cap. These shorts are at least 2" below the bottom of my knee. For a 60 year old I look like some older guy trying to look like a hip-hop teenager. So disappointed because the quality is top notch. Water beads up on this material and the long pants are amazing. I slipped on a hike and feel in some muddy wet dirt and jumped up really fast and couldn't believe the pants had no mud on them and were dry as a bone. My wife washed them when we got home and was laughing about me falling and saying how in the heck did these pants not get anything on them!! Not a speck of mud, so you can imagine my disappointment that these shorts fit me so poorly. Having to return them and will be careful when ordering any other style if it doesn't say how long they are.

  I really love these. They are rugged and feel great. The pockets are just right. When I wear out these I will by more of the exact same (if they still make them).

  The material is strong and a heavier weight than I expected which I didn’t expect, they should hold up pretty well over the years. The top button that usually falls off our other shorts won’t happen to these since it’s a pressed on steel button like what Levi’s use. The size is slightly smaller than what I expected so if you’re a 31, order the 32. The elastic side bands are snug and you can easily wear these without a belt. The knife pocket is free floating like a Levi’s pocket so your knife won’t slide out if you’re on your back or a similar position. They reinforced the stitching in critical spots

  Decent enough shorts. They're good for casual walking with both concealed and open carry, but not in any type of squatting exercise because they have very little actual stretch. Also, I this day and age, an average size phone should be able to fit in a back pocket and be able to close. The back pockets on these shorts are too shallow. Oh, never dry this brand in the dryer. They WILL shrink.

  A little expensive, but well worth the extra few dollars. Great durabaility, fit, and looks. Pockets don't bunch up.

  These are more of a dark gray. But anyway, they only get 4 stars because they get dirty really fast... like the second you walk out your front door, lol. The synthetic material collects dust/pollen REALLY fast and you cant just wipe it off, its weird. I work in maintenance, so they look brand new at 8am and 5 years old at 9am. But what I absolutely love about them is all the side pockets for multiple phones and tools. VERY functional for my job.
