  This review is for the 'Wrangler Authentics Men's Classic Relaxed Fit Cargo Short.' I LOVE that this style does NOT have elastic waistbands. I find those end up stretching out so much you get maybe one or two wearings before you must shrink them back down by washing. Wrangler shorts have been a go-to brand for me for over a decade: they're reasonably-priced, fit well, look good and last for five+ years. In my experience the Velcro wears out long before the material.Fit Note: I typically wear a 33 waist in pants from Levi's, Banana Republic, J. Crew and Eddie Bauer. I ordered that size in three colors: Dark Putty, British Khaki Twill & Military Ripstop. All fit as-expected except for the Dark Putty, which I returned as it felt maybe half-to-one size small. I don't know if this was due to a manufacturing variance, different plant, material or etc. If you're borderline between two sizes, you may want to order both and keep whichever fits best. Thanks to the 65/35 cotton/poly blend, I didn't notice any shrinkage after washing (warm with dryer on low).

  I like the style and where the pockets are, especially the phone pocket.The durability is generally good, but after awhile getting slash holes for some reason, again after a good amount of wear.

  I like Wrangler shorts, but for some reason they only offer cargo shorts. So I buy these.The fashion videos on the internet all say that men should not wear cargo shorts, that they are ugly.But to be honest, it's hot where I live so I wear shorts that are comfortable and can help me function. Fashion is almost an afterthought. If I'm going out for dinner or to the shopping mall with the wife, then I'll put on pants and a collared shirt so I don't embarrass the wife.But if it's just me running around, then I wear cargo shorts so I can carry my phone, wallet, knife, flashlight and edc prybar.One negative for these shorts is that a hole wears into the top corner where the front button meets the top of the zipper. I don't know why this always happens, but I just reinforce the sport with iron on patches.

  These seemed to fit well however the crotch ripped out two months after purchase. It could be luck or perhaps they're cheaply made.
